NORTHEAST GAUL. Bellovaci. Circa 60-30/25 BC. AE (Bronze, 19 mm, 3.26 g, 11 h). Schematic head to left, surrounded by a leonine mane of hair. Rev. Fowl type gryllus to right; to right, pellet in annulet above spiral-armed sun. DT 509. LT 8584. A lovely example with a beautiful green patina and a wonderful reverse. The obverse a bit weak and with light porosity and scratches, otherwise, very fine.
